Emily Mitchell Scholarship

Emily Mitchell was the first president of our predecessor organization, the Massachusetts Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (MAMFT). She advocated for licensure for marriage and family therapists in Massachusetts, relational health for her clients in community mental health and private practice, and quality training in family and systemic therapy. She taught family and systemic therapy at the Kantor Family Institute, Cambridge College, and Antioch University New England.

NEAFAST is honored to provide up to $300 in scholarship money to NEAFAST Consortium events in Emily's honor to students and pre-licensed members in need. Students and pre-licensed members can receive this scholarship once annually. Please apply by completing the Emily Mitchell Scholarship Form.

The Emily Mitchell fund relies on donations from our members, local therapists, and the public. If you would like to donate money to the professional development of our newest therapists, please click on Donate to the Emily Mitchell Fund.
