“Cannabis: Igniting the Conversation” is a half-day program designed to provide current, evidence-based data on the potential therapeutic benefits and adverse effects of medical cannabis. Healthcare providers will be updated on the latest research to acquire the knowledge and skills to communicate the potential benefits and risks of cannabis use to their patients and to engage youth to ensure healthy development and well-being. The public will be provided with the information needed to interact with healthcare professionals and to make informed decisions. Parents will be equipped to identify the impact of chronic cannabis use on adolescents and will learn strategies to engage with their children about their use without increasing defensiveness.
