Participants in this training will explore the impact of the work- related trauma. Participants will be given the opportunity to share how exp osure to trauma in the workplace has affected them and how they have coped. Emphasis will be placed on identifying helpful coping strategies using gro up discussion and case reviews. Trauma-Informed Supervision - A trauma info rmed environment feels safe and welcoming to everyone. The way that staff m embers treat each other affects that environment and the people being serve d. Supervision should model the characteristics of a healthy empowering rel ationship so that staff members can develop similar relationships with the people being served. In this training we will review the principles of trau ma-informed supervision, discuss how to apply these principles, and practic e trauma informed supervision techniques.
